“X-Men” regular Nicholas Hoult has joined the cast of the upcoming seventh film in the “Mission: Impossible” franchise. The news was announced by director Christopher McQuarrie on Instagram, adding that his character (still under wraps) will raise some hell.
He joins Hayley Atwell, Shea Wigham and Pom Klementieff who are also hopping onboard the franchise alongside returnees Tom Cruise, Rebecca Ferguson, Simon Pegg and Ving Rhames. The most recent film, ‘Fallout,’ scored both the highest reviews for the franchise and the largest gross with over $790 million worldwide.
Filming on both the movies is expected to happen across much of 2020 ahead of the seventh film’s release July 23rd 2021 and the eighth in 2022.
