Warner Bros. Pictures will release the new trailer for “Godzilla: King of the Monsters” on Sunday following its premiere at the CCXP Comic-Con Experience in Sao Paulo, Brazil this coming weekend.
Last week came word that the film will unleash its new trailer this week, the second trailer it has put out following the first which premiered at San Diego Comic-Con back in July to a rapturous response.
Talk stirred yesterday however that there had been a delay but the film’s director himself Mike Dougherty took to Twitter to announce that the new clip is coming on December 9th. With the presentation to begin 12:30pm US-ET, it’s expected the trailer is likely to go online shortly after.
The new story follows the heroic efforts of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch as its members face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. When these ancient super-species – thought to be mere myths – rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance.
Kyle Chandler, Vera Farmiga, Millie Bobby Brown, Bradley Whitford, Sally Hawkins, Charles Dance, Thomas Middleditch, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Ken Watanabe, and Zhang Ziyi co-star in the film opening May 31st.
