Next “Bond” Film Releasing 2025 At Earliest

No Time To Die Opens To 56 Million
EON & Universal Pictures

Daniel Craig wrapped filming on “No Time To Die,” his final outing as James Bond, back in late 2019.

The pandemic of course delayed that movie until late last year, nonetheless those in charge of the franchise are in no hurry to find his successor just yet – despite what the British tabloids say.

In a recent interview with Deadline, franchise producer Barbara Broccoli disclosed that the next 007 movie won’t even begin filming until at least well into 2024 if not later which suggest a release no earlier than 2025.

She dismisses any talk of contenders as she says they haven’t even begun looking for the next actor yet as they’re still deciding which direction to take the franchise next:

“Nobody’s in the running. We’re working out where to go with him, we’re talking that through. There isn’t a script and we can’t come up with one until we decide how we’re going to approach the next film because, really, it’s a reinvention of Bond. We’re reinventing who he is and that takes time. I’d say that filming is at least two years away.”

Whoever takes over will become the seventh actor in the role and follow on from Sean Connery’s six films, George Lazenby’s one, Roger Moore’s seven, Timothy Dalton’s two, Pierce Brosnan’s four and Daniel Craig’s five.
