The 2021 MTV Movie & TV Awards are currently underway and the broadcast is being used as the launching pad for several clips.
Kicking things off is Marvel Studios showcasing a car chase action scene from the long-delayed “Black Widow” movie finally arriving July 9th.
The scene sees Scarlett Johansson and Florence Pugh’s sisters in a shootout with a motorcyclist pursuing their vehicle. The film itself launches in cinemas and on Disney+ on July 9th.
Lin-Manuel Miranda used the broadcast to show off a new clip from Jon M. Chu’s “In the Heights” musical as Anthony Ramos sings an appeal to all the members of his neighborhood – essentially a call to party.

Next, Disney Pictures and Marvel Studios have released a new clip of Tom Hiddleston and Owen Wilson in the “Loki” TV series ahead of its June 9th premiere. The scene sees the pair arguing as Wilson’s Agent Mobius escorts Loki through the Time Variant Authority offices.
