Capping off the Tudum coverage today, Netflix has dropped a couple of clips from its upcoming series.
First comes an exclusive clip for Tim Burton’s “Wednesday,” the reimagining of “The Addams Family” starring Jenna Ortega in the title role, alongside Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzman, Gwendoline Christie, and Christina Ricci.
The supernaturally infused mystery charts Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy, and the clip shows her negotiating a deal with the disembodied hand Thing. “Wednesday” launches on the service on November 23rd.
Netflix has also unveiled a new clip for the second season of “Vikings: Valhalla” which will premiere in 2023. Florian Munteanu joins the cast of the new season as real-life Byzantine Empire general George Maniakes.
Set a century after the original Vikings series, the spin-off explores the fall of old Viking culture as Christianity becomes ever more present in the Nordic countries.
Also unveiled is a new clip for the “Bridgerton” prequel spin-off series “Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story”. In the clip, a young Charlotte (India Amarteifio), meets George (Corey Mylchreest) – the first encounter of a romance that sparked Bridgerton society as we know it. The series doesn’t yet have a launch date.
Finally there’s a first look featurette for “El Elegido,” the series adaptation of Mark Millar’s “American Jesus” comic book title. Former “Glee” alum Dianna Agron and upcoming Marvel hero Namor actor Tenoch Huerta star in the series.
The story follows a twelve-year-old boy in Baja California who suddenly discovers he has Jesus-like powers. Everything gets thrown for a loop when he realizes the truth around his identity.
