Up Here
Hulu has premiered the trailer for “Up Here,” an eight episodes romantic musical comedy series set in New York City in the waning days of 1999.
Mae Whitman, Carlos Valdes, Katie Finneran, John Hodgman, Andréa Burns and Sophia Hammons co-star in the show which premieres on March 24th.
The story follows an ordinary couple, Lindsay and Miguel, as they fall in love and discover that the single greatest obstacle to finding happiness together might just be themselves – and the treacherous world of memories, obsessions, fears and fantasies that lives inside their heads.
Steven Levenson writes, Thomas Kail directs, and “Frozen” music duo Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez are writing original songs for the work.
The Blackening
Lionsgate has released an official trailer for its horror comedy feature “The Blackening” which is coming to cinemas on June 16th. Tim Story directs from a screenplay co-written by Tracy Oliver and Dewayne Perkins.
The story centers around a group of Black friends who reunite for a Juneteenth weekend getaway only to find themselves trapped in a remote cabin with a twisted killer. Forced to play by his rules, the friends soon realize this ain’t no motherf—– game.
Antoinette Robertson, Dewayne Perkins, Sinqua Walls, Grace Byers, X Mayo, Melvin Gregg, Jermaine Fowler, Yvonne Orji, and Jay Pharoah star.
Mafia Mamma
Bleecker Street has released a trailer for Catherine Hardwicke’s action comedy “Mafia Mamma” which is set to hit cinemas on April 14th. Toni Collette, Monica Bellucci, Giulio Corso, Francesco Mastroianni, Alfonso Perugini and more star.
Collette plays an American woman who suddenly inherits her estranged grandfather’s Italian Mafia empire and must manage the family business – making her a target of rival gangs.
The Tutor
Vertical Entertainment has premiered the trailer for “The Tutor” which stars “Stranger Things” alum Noah Schnapp as a teenager, and son of a billionaire, who becomes dangerously obsessed with his in-demand tutor (Garrett Hedlund). Victoria Justice co-stars in the Jordan Ross-directed film which is set to hit cinemas on March 24th.
