With one week to go, Netflix has another trailer dubbed ‘She’s Coming’ for Mike Flanagan’s fifth and final series for the streamer – “The Fall of the House of Usher”.
Flanagan’s “The Haunting of Hill House” and “The Haunting of Bly Manor” series took elements from multiple works of authors Shirley Jackson and Henry James respectively. ‘Usher’ does the same with stories by Edgar Allan Poe.
The eight-episode horror drama will follow the reclusive Roderick (Bruce Greenwood) and his twin Madeline (Mary McDonnell) as they do anything to help their family business, Fortunato Pharmaceuticals, become the pinnacle of the industry.
The Usher family’s dark secrets start to come to the surface when a mysterious woman begins to haunt them. The series also stars Mark Hamill, Carla Gugino, Rahul Kohli, Willa Fitzgerald, Henry Thomas, Zach Gilford, and Kate Siegel, among others.
Flanagan also created “Midnight Mass” and “The Midnight Club” for Netflix and will soon be doing an adaptation of Stephen King’s “The Dark Tower” for Amazon.
He will next be directing a film adaptation of King’s “The Life of Chuck” which begins shooting this month. “The Fall of the House of Usher” will premiere in full on Netflix on October 12th.
