The CW has unveiled a new trailer ahead of the premiere of its “Supernatural” prequel series “The Winchesters” which comes to the network in October.
The trailer, for what’s being dubbed a ‘supernatural love story’, follows the early beginnings of the relationship of Vietnam vet John Winchester (Drake Rodger) and skilled hunter Mary Campbell (Meg Donnelly), including a rough first meeting.
There’s another brief glimpse at Jensen Ackles as Dean, who narrates the story. As John tries to uncover the truth about his father’s mysterious past, he encounters Mary.
Rodger and Donnelly mark the third set of actors to take on the roles, following Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Samantha Smith as the present-day versions, along with Matt Cohen and Amy Gumenick as the younger versions in flashbacks.
“The Winchesters” premieres on Tuesday, October 11th on The CW.
