Following two trailers to date, a third one is now out for the “Toy Story” spin-off feature “Lightyear” which comes to cinemas on June 17th.
Along with the trailer comes confirmation that James Brolin’s voice role in the film will be that of Buzz’s archnemesis Zurg whose design is inspired by mecha and Japanese anime.
Angus MacLane (“Finding Dory”) helms the feature with Chris Evans starring as the voice of the ‘movie’ Buzz Lightyear that led to the creation of the toy voiced by Tim Allen in the other films.
The project is dubbed the definitive origin story of Buzz Lightyear and follows the legendary Space Ranger on an intergalactic adventure.
The film also stars Keke Palmer, Dale Soules and Taika Waititi as a group of ambitious recruits, Peter Sohn as Buzz’s robot companion Sox, and the likes of Uzo Aduba, Mary McDonald-Lewis, Efren Ramirez and Isiah Whitlock Jr.
