With one month to go before it premieres, a new action-packed TV spot has arrived for the “Star Wars: Ahsoka” series launching next month on the Disney+ service.
Set after her appearances in “The Mandalorian” and “The Book of Boba Fett,” the series follows Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) as she investigates an emerging threat to the galaxy following the fall of the Empire.
The show serves as a live-action continuation of the animated series “Star Wars Rebels” and was developed by Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni for the Disney+ service.
The cast includes Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Eman Esfandi as Ezra Bridger, Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll, Genevieve O’Reilly as Mon Mothma, Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth and Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker.
Also onboard are David Tennant as lightsaber-crafting droid Huyang and Wes Chatham as Thrawn’s “right-hand man”. Dave Filoni wrote all the episodes while also directing further episodes with Peter Ramsey, Steph Green, Jennifer Getzinger, Geeta Patel, and Rick Famuyiwa also directing.
The eight-episode series is set to launch on the Disney+ service with a double episode on August 23rd.
