Sony held a State of Play broadcast today where they released more gameplay footage from Insomniac Games’ highly anticipated PS5-exclusive “Marvel’s Spider-Man 2” along with sharing some new details.
The game will reportedly feature over 65 suits and over 200 different ways to wear them via a new suit-style system which allows things like color changes.
The various suits are based on looks Spider-Man has worn in past comics, movies, TV shows, and more – and this one will include the black suit that Tobey Maguire wore in Sam Raimi’s “Spider-Man 3”.
In a new gameplay trailer, we get a look at the game’s updated progress system, how one can “almost” instantly switch between Miles Morales and Peter Parker, and a map that’s nearly double the size of the first. There are also glimpses of the webwing in action.
In the game, the Spider-Men, Peter Parker and Miles Morales, enter new chapters in their lives as they balance their responsibilities as protectors of Marvel’s New York.
As Harry Osborne, Peter’s best friend, returns to his life, and Miles looks to build his future beyond high school, the relationship between our heroes is tested and strained as the Symbiote appears to threaten them, the city, and the ones they love.
“Marvel’s Spider-Man 2” comes to the PS5 on October 20th.
