As part of the Disney+ Day celebrations today it has been announced that “Prey,” the next chapter in the “Predator” franchise, will launch exclusively on Hulu in the U.S. and on Star (within the Disney+ service) internationally in Summer 2022.
The film is being directed by Dan Trachtenberg (“10 Cloverfield Lane”) and is set in the world of the Comanche Nation three centuries ago. The story follows Naru, a skilled hunter who fiercely protects her tribe and wants to prove her worth as a warrior.
She gets her chance when she comes face to face with the most dangerous hunter of all, the other-worldly predator. At present, it’s not certain if the film will get a theatrical release.
