Sony Pictures has premiered a new one-sheet and a short featurette for the upcoming “Spider-Man: Brand New Day”.
It follows two months on from the first trailer released back in mid-March, though it’s not clear as yet if this is preceding a new trailer drop, as notable poster releases frequently do.
The story begins a while after we last caught up with our friendly neighbourhood hero and Peter Parker is now an adult living entirely alone, having voluntarily erased himself from the lives and memories of those he loves.
Crime-fighting in a New York that no longer knows his name, he’s devoted himself entirely to protecting his city — a full-time Spider-Man — but as the demands on him intensify, the pressure sparks a surprising physical evolution that threatens his existence, even as a strange new pattern of crimes gives rise to one of the most powerful threats he has ever faced.
Tom Holland reprises his role as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the film, which is being helmed by Destin Daniel Cretton (“Wonder Man,” “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings”) and will see multiple villains.
Also set are Zendaya as Michelle ‘MJ’ Jones-Watson, Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/Punisher, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk, Michael Mando as Mac Gargan/Scorpion, Marvin Jones III as Lonnie Lincoln/Tombstone, Sadie Sink, Liza Colón-Zayas and Tramell Tillman.
“Spider-Man: Brand New Day” opens in cinemas on July 31st.
