Sony Pictures has premiered new footage from its upcoming sci-fi drama “Passengers” in a new TV spot.
The movie takes place on a luxury spaceship bound for a human colony over a century away. Two of the passengers (Jennifer Lawrence, Chris Pratt) are mysteriously awakened ninety years too early, they strike up a relationship and quickly become the ship’s only hope of recovering from a serious malfunction.
Michael Sheen, Laurence Fishburne, and Aurora Perrineau also star. Morten Tyldum (“The Imitation Game”) directs from a screenplay by Jon Spaihts (“Prometheus”) and the film is slated to open in cinemas on December 21st.
