Jackass Beats Moonfall At Box Office

Thanks to the success of the recent “Jackass Forever” film, the hilariously wild antics of the “Jackass” franchise will return to the small screen.

Speaking during an investor call today, Paramount Global CEO Bob Bakish says the company has been in talks with the original creators to continue the franchise with a new “Jackass” series in the works for the Paramount+ service.

One person likely not to get involved in the craziness again is the franchise’s poster boy Johnny Knoxville who took a gruesome hit from a bull while filming ‘Forever’ and subsequently said: “I’ve done enough. I don’t have anything to prove. I have kids to raise.”

‘Forever,’ the fourth film in the long-running franchise, debuted at the box-office with a strong $23.5 million opening weekend. “Jackass 4.5,” a film consisting of extra footage shot during the making of “Jackass Forever,” is scheduled to be released May 20th on Netflix.
