A couple of key promo trailers today.
First up, Hulu has released the first trailer for the second season of its anti-historical dark comedy series “The Great” about Catherine the Great’s rise to power as Empress of Russia. Gillian Anderson guest stars this season as Catherine’s mother.
Elle Fanning and Nicholas Hoult reprise their roles of Catherine the Great and Peter III of Russia respectively with the pair now in a vengeful competition following Catherine’s attempt to overthrow Peter. The second season will premiere November 19th.
Hulu has also set a November 5th premiere date for the second season of its revived Emmy Award-winning animated comedy series “Animaniacs”.
Yakko, Wakko and Dot return for thirteen all new episodes with pop culture parodies, musical showstoppers, takedowns of historical baddies and even some important safety tips. Season one favorites Starbox and Cindy also return.
Finally, Netflix has announced a September 22nd premiere date for the fourth and final installment of Justin Simien’s comedy-drama “Dear White People”.
The new run is being described as a musical event that will feature various major 1990s songs. Here the characters are reunited amid a pandemic and future Sam and Lionel look back on their epic final year together at Winchester.
