New Details On Ray Liotta’s Death

The cause of the sudden passing of “Goodfellas” and “Field of Dreams” star Ray Liotta has been released.

The 67-year-old Liotta passed away in his sleep last May in the Dominican Republic whilst he was shooting the film “Dangerous Waters”.

That film co-starred Eric Dane, Saffron Burrows and Odeya Rush and followed a sailing holiday that spirals out of control when a teenage daughter uncovers the dark past of her mother’s new boyfriend.

TMZ reports that the actor’s death has been attributed to heart and respiratory issues according to documents the outlet obtained.

According to medical officials in the Dominican Republic in the documents cited by the outlet, the specific causes are pulmonary edema (fluid in the lungs), respiratory insufficiency and acute heart failure. There was also signs he suffered from atherosclerosis (plaque buildup in arteries).

Liotta recently appeared in “The Many Saints of Newark,” Steven Soderbergh’s No Sudden Move,” and Elizabeth Banks’ “Cocaine Bear” along with the Apple TV+ series “Black Bird” before his passing. He was engaged to be married and leaves behind a daughter.
