New Details On “Babylon 5” Animated Film

Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment

Following the announcement a week ago by creator J. Michael Straczynski, more details have now emerged regarding the new animated “Babylon 5” film.

In “Babylon 5: The Road Home,” we will travel across the galaxy with John Sheridan as he unexpectedly finds himself transported through multiple timelines and alternate realities in a quest to find his way back home.

Along the way, he reunites with some familiar faces while discovering new cosmic revelations about the history, purpose, and meaning of the Universe.

Returning cast lending their voices include Bruce Boxleitner as John Sheridan, Claudia Christian as Susan Ivanova, Peter Jurasik as Londo Mollari, Bill Mumy as Lennier, Tracy Scoggins as Elizabeth Lochley and Patricia Tallman as Lyta Alexander.

Of course, numerous cast members of the original have passed away, and so their roles have been recast. Taking over those roles are the likes of Anthony Hansen as Michael Garibaldi, Phil LaMarr as Dr. Stephen Franklin, Andrew Morgado as G’Kar, Rebecca Riedy as Delenn, and Paul Guyet as Zathras and Jeffery Sinclair.

Also onboard are Piotr Michael as David Sheridan and Mara Junot in several small roles. Straczynski wrote the film and executive produced while Matt Peters (“Batman and Superman: Battle of the Super Sons”) directs.

Warner Bros. Animation and Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment are plotting a summer release for the film.
