Netflix has announced a line-up of animated feature films coming to the platform with all sorts of new stills on offer, including two new animated features set to arrive in 2024.
One of those is a new film set within the “SpongeBob SquarePants” universe. Titled “Saving Bikini Bottom: The Sandy Cheeks Movie,” the Liza Johnson-helmed movie follows Sandy and Spongebob as they journey to Texas to save the town from a villainous plot. Wanda Sykes and Johnny Knoxville lend their voices to the outing.
Netflix have also announced “In Your Dreams,” a comedy adventure about a pair of siblings who magically travel into the world of dreams with the mission of finding The Sandman who will grant them their ultimate wish – to save their parent’s marriage.
Next up, they’ve also confirmed new voice cast members for Annapurna’s techno-medieval fantasy tale “Nimona” starring Chloë Grace Moretz, Riz Ahmed and Eugene Lee Yang. The film, which deals with a shapeshifting teen, is now getting Frances Conroy, Lorraine Toussaint, Beck Bennett, RuPaul Charles, Indya Moore, Julio Torres and Sarah Sherman in the supporting cast.
There’s a new photo for “Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget,” the sequel to the highest-grossing stop-motion movie of all time which hails from Aardman Animation. The film will release this fall with a voice cast led by Thandiwe Newton, Zachary Levi, Bella Ramsay, Imelda Staunton, David Bradley and Nick Mohammed.
There’s also first look photos from the film adaptation of Richard Curtis’ “That Christmas,” from next year’s “Thelma the Unicorn” about a rockstar wannabe unicorn,the comedy “The Monkey King”, and the coming-of-age animated musical comedy “Leo” starring Adam Sandler as a 74-year-old class pet lizard.
