Activision has confirmed in their latest earnings call that a new “Call of Duty” game for mobile is in the works and is being developed by a dedicated team.
They’ve also established an internal studio that will work with Beenox and Activision Shanghai. Though not indicated by the company, the likely aim will be to replicate the success of “Call of Duty: Warzone” in the mobile space.
The already established “Call Of Duty: Mobile” has reached more than 500 million downloads in the two years since launch and grossed more than $1 Billion in revenue through in-game purchases.
Sledgehammer Games will release a new regular “Call of Duty” entry in the fourth quarter of this year.
