The Labor Day weekend in the United States, the first weekend of September, is pack to the gills with entertainment options this year – Christopher Nolan’s “Tenet,” Disney’s live-action “Mulan,” Charlie Kaufman’s “I’m Thinking of Ending Things,” the second season of Amazon’s “The Boys,” and major game titles like “Marvel’s Avengers,” “Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2” and “NBA2K21”.
It’s a crowded weekend which also has “Bill and Ted Face the Music” set to debut. The third adventure of the Wyld Stallyns pair has opted to get out of the fray, moving up a few days and will now debut the weekend before on August 28th. As planned, the film will simultaneously be released both in select theaters and on premium VOD.
The stakes are higher than ever for the time-traveling exploits of William ‘Bill’ S. Preston Esq. (Alex Winter) and Theodore ‘Ted’ Logan (Keanu Reeves). Yet to fulfill their rock and roll destiny, the now middle aged best friends set out on a new adventure when a visitor from the future warns them that only their song can save life as we know it.
Along the way, they will be helped by their daughters, a new batch of historical figures, and a few music legends – to seek the song that will set their world right and bring harmony in the universe. Check out a new featurette about the casting of the daughter characters (played by Samara Weaving and Brigette Lundy-Paine) below:
