Netflix had premiered the first trailer for its revival of iconic 1990s true crime documentary series “Unsolved Mysteries” which returns to screens on July 1st.
Shawn Levy executive produces the twelve-part series which will use reenactments in a documentary format to profile real-life mysteries and unsolved crimes, lost love, cases involving missing persons and unexplained paranormal events.
Each episode will focus on one mystery and will once again look to viewers to help aid investigators in closing the book on long outstanding cases. Original creators John Cosgrove and Terry Dunn Meurer return to executive produce with Meurer serving as showrunner.
The late Robert Stack hosted the series throughout most of its run, with the late Dennis Farina handling a brief revival in 2008.
