Netflix has officially announced a March 10th premiere date for the second season of its live-action take on “One Piece”.
It has also been confirmed that the full eight-episode season will drop on that date – no splitting of the season.
The announcement comes alongside the release of the final of the streamer’s preview looks at the story arcs being adapted for the second season with a new poster for the wintry ‘Drum Island’ locations.
It follows on from the ‘Loguetown’, ‘Reverse Mountain,’ ‘Whiskey Peak’ and ‘Little Garden’ arcs of earlier episodes, with ‘Drum Island’ expected to be longest – clocking in at three of the eight episodes and introducing fan favorite character Tony Tony Chopper.
Iñaki Godoy, Emily Rudd, Mackenyu, Jacob Romero Gibson, Taz Skyler, Morgan Davies and Jeff Ward all return for the second season as the group enters the Grand Line.
Joe Manganiello, Katey Sagal, David Dastmalchian, Lera Abova, Callum Kerr, Clive Russell, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Mikaela Hoover and Charithra Chandran are among the actors joining the run in the new season.
