Netflix has released the official trailer for “Lupin,” a live-action heist series inspired by iconic French character Arsene Lupin from author Maurice Leblance.
This contemporary retelling of the classic story stars “The Intouchables” and “Jurassic World” star Omar Sy as the gentleman thief and master of disguise. As a teenager, Assane Diop’s life was turned upside down when his father died after being accused of a crime he didn’t commit.
Twenty-five years later, Assane will use ‘Arsene Lupin’ as his inspiration to avenge his father. This involves a high stake museum heist where he must steal the necklace of Marie Antoinette at an auction.
The series is to debut on Friday, January 8th and also stars Ludivine Sagnier, Clotilde Hesme, Nicole Garcia, Hervé Pierre, Soufiane Guerrab, Antoine Gouy, Fargass Assande, Vincent Londez and Shirine Boutella.
