Netflix Unveils “The Twits” Voice Cast

Netflix has unveiled the full voice cast for their upcoming animated film adaptation of Roald Dahl’s famed novel “The Twits” which has been scheduled for an October 17th release on the streaming service.

The film tells the story of Mr. and Mrs. Twit, the meanest, smelliest, nastiest people in the world who also happen to own and operate the most disgusting, most dangerous, most idiotic amusement park in the world, Twitlandia.

But when the Twits rise to power in their town, two brave children and a family of magical Muggle-Wumps, are forced to become as tricky as the Twits in order to save the city.

Johnny Vegas, Margo Martindale, Emilia Clarke, Natalie Portman, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Ryan Lopez, Timothy Simons, Nicole Byer, and Jason Mantzoukas, Alan Tudyk, Mark Proksch, Rebecca Wisocky and Charlie Berens will voice characters in the film.

In addition, Talking Heads frontman David Byrne has penned three original songs for the film – “We’re Not Like Ev’ryone Else,” “Lullaby,” and “The Problem Is You”. Byrne also teams with Paramore’s Hayley Williams on the end title song “Open the Door”.

Katie Shanahan and Todd Demong co-direct the film. The book has sold 16 million copies worldwide and this marks its first film adaptation.
