Though at least one of them has been rumored, Sony has now confirmed that three of their biggest PlayStation exclusive franchises are getting the TV series treatment.

As part of a recent Q&A during a Sony Business Briefing for Sony Pictures Entertainment (and reported on by a Resetera user), the group has confirmed a “Horizon: Zero Dawn” series is coming to Netflix, a “God of War” series is coming to Amazon Prime, and a “Gran Turismo” series is on the way but hasn’t confirmed a home as yet.

While the “God of War” series news was revealed back in March, the other two are new reveals. All three franchises have new game entries released this year with two already in stores.

PlayStation Productions has made aggressive strides into the scripted entertainment sector following the release of the film adaptation of the “Uncharted” game franchise earlier this year.

The new shows will join the almost finished filming first season of HBO’s “The Last of Us,” the currently casting up “Twisted Metal” TV series starring Anthony Mackie, and the in-development film adaptation of “Ghost of Tsushima”.

Sony says it has ten projects currently in development based on PlayStation franchises so at least several remain unannounced.
