Netflix has greenlit an eight-part UK crime thriller series adaptation of Si Spencer’s 2015 graphic novel “Bodies”.
The story involves four detectives in four different London eras who find themselves investigating the same murder in Whitechapel and a conspiracy spanning 150 years.
The detectives include 1890s overachiever Edmond Hillinghead, 1940s dashing adventurer Karl Whiteman, 2010s kickass DS Shahara Hasan, and 2050s post-apocalyptic amnesiac Maplewood.
The series is created by “Torchwood” writer Paul Tomalin who is co-writing with Danusia Samal, while Will Gould and Frith Tiplady produce. Marco Kreutzpaintner and Jaolu Wang will direct.
