Netflix is set to produce an anime series based on the action-RPG game title “Dragon’s Dogma” and will be produced in partnership with sublimation, Inc.
The story follows a man’s journey seeking revenge on a dragon who stole his heart. On his way, the man is brought back to life as an ‘Arisen’ in this action adventure about a man challenged by demons who represent the seven deadly sins of humans.
The series will utilise a unique cel-shaded animation system which carries hand-drawn textures to give the appearance of being hand-drawn. No potential air date has been released.
First released by Capcom in 2012, and ported to many other consoles and PC since, the game was popular and acclaimed enough to warrant a sequel.
This follows on from the five previously announced new anime series Netflix is working on including “Ghost in the Shell: SAC _2045,” “Altered Carbon: Resleeved,” “Vampire in the Garden,” “Super Crooks,” and “SPRIGGAN.”
