Worldwide rights (bar China) to the Kevin Hart and Woody Harrelson-led action-comedy “The Man From Toronto” have been sold to streaming giant Netflix.

The project was developed and produced by Sony Pictures with the studio originally intending to give the film an August theatrical release. Now it goes directly to the streamer and comes under the exclusive first-look deal Sony signed with them last year.

The story revolves around a case of mistaken identity after the world’s deadliest assassin, known as the ‘man from Toronto’, (Harrelson) and a stranger (Hart) run into each other at an Airbnb. Chaos soon follows as the assassin’s world comes crashing down on Hart.

Kaley Cuoco, Jasmine Mathews, Lela Loren, Pierson Fode, Jencarlos Canela and Ellen Barkin also star in the film which hails from Australian director Patrick Hughes (“The Hitman’s Bodyguard”) along with scribes Robbie Fox and Chris Bremner.

Netflix will release the film on its service later this year.
