Netflix has ordered the heist drama “Jigsaw” to series with Giancarlo Esposito, Paz Vega, Rufus Sewell, Jai Courtney, Tati Gabrielle, Peter Mark Kendall, Rosaline Elbay and Niousha Noor set to star.
Currently filming in Brooklyn, the eight-episode non-linear scripted series spans across a 25-year timespan and centers around the largest heist ever attempted and all the scheming and betrayals that surround it.
The story is loosely inspired by a real story in which $70 billion dollars in bonds went missing in downtown Manhattan during Hurricane Sandy.
Erica Garcia created the series and will also serve as showrunner and executive producer. Jose Padilha will direct the first two episodes. Ridley Scott, David W. Zucker, Jordan Sheehan, Fred Berger, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, and Justin Levy executive produce.
