Netflix has won the rights to Arnold Schwarzenegger’s first scripted TV series – an untitled global spy adventure series being produced by Skydance Television.
The show will center on a father (Schwarzenegger) and daughter (Stumptown’s Monica Barbaro) but specifics of the espionage thriller are under wraps and a script to series deal is still coming together.
The project hails from “Scorpion” creator and showrunner Nick Santora who also worked as a writer/producer on FOX’s “Prison Break” and Quibi’s “Most Dangerous Game”. He will serve as showrunner and executive producer on the new series whilst simultaneously serving as showrunner on Amazon’s planned TV series adaptation of Lee Child’s “Jack Reacher” book series.
David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Bill Bost will also executive produce the Schwarzenegger show, as will the former Governor himself.
