Netflix Lands New Texas Chainsaw Massacre
New Line Cinema

Netflix has acquired global rights to the newest “Texas Chainsaw Massacre” feature at Legendary Pictures.

The new film ignores all the other movies and takes place years after the shocking events of Tobe Hooper’s 1974 original in a setting where Leatherface hasn’t been seen or heard from since.

The aim is to “bring the most notorious horror franchise back to life in the same bold and provocative manner that it was first introduced to the world”.

Elsie Fisher, Sarah Yarkin, Jacob Latimore and Moe Dunford co-star. David Blue Garcia helmed the film which shot last year in Bulgaria and is produced by Fede Alvarez, Rodolfo Sayagues, Kim Henkel, Ian Henkel, and Pat Cassidy.
