In the wake of NBC’s decision to cancel its mystery thriller “Manifest” after three seasons earlier this week, Netflix has now reportedly emerged as the leading potential new home for the series.

The first two seasons of the missing plane drama debuted on Netflix last Thursday and has since climbed to the #1 spot in the U.S. which it has held for a week now.

Thanks in part to that performance metric, Deadline reports that conversations between Warner Bros. Television and Netflix are underway with the streamer evaluating the viability and financials of a possible pickup.

Netflix has had some success with pickups of broadcast network series that were cancelled such as ABC’s “Designated Survivor,” A&E’s “Longmire,” AMC’s “The Killing,” and most famously FOX’s “Lucifer” which is also produced by Warner Bros. Television.

“Manifest” creator Jeff Rake has previously spoken about a six-season plan for “Manifest” and has been hopeful about the show finding a new home. Same with the cast who are reportedly all willing to continue on the show.
