Chris Hemsworth popped up during Netflix’s TUDUM event to discuss the “Extraction” sequel which is about to begin production.
Hemsworth will return as Australian mercenary Tyler Rake alongside filmmaker Sam Hargrave in the new installment. A clip was shown mostly showing off the end of the first film and confirming that Rake survived that finale and the new film will be set in the wake of that.
“Extraction” proved a smash hit in April last year and was touted as the streamers most-watched original film ever. Joe and Anthony Russo return to produce the film which was to shoot in Australia but recently shifted to Europe.
