Netflix has announced that it’s opening a pop-up restaurant called Netflix Bites starting June 30th. This marks the first time that Netflix is stepping into the restaurant business.
The venue is going to be located at the Short Stories Hotel on Fairfax Ave in Los Angeles, just down the road from The Grove. It will feature chefs from various Netflix cooking series, such as “Chef’s Table,” “Nailed It!” and “Iron Chef: Quest for an Iron Legend.”
The streamer has previously immersive experience pop-ups for shows like “Stranger Things,” “Squid Game”, and “Money Heist,” but this is a first foray into the food service sector.
Patrons will be able to taste food from chefs Curtis Stone, Dominique Crenn, Ming Tsai, Andrew Zimmern, Rodney Scott, Ann Kim, Nadiya Hussain, and Jacques Torres, along with mixologists Frankie Solarik, Julie Reiner, LP O’Brien and Kate Gerwin.
The restaurant will be open daily from 5-10 pm US-PT, with a brunch menu available on the weekends from 10am-2pm. Reservations are up at netflixbites.com and require a nonrefundable deposit of $25 per person.
Netflix didn’t reveal what will be on the menu or pricing, though memes have already begun joking about all the courses being served at once, table sharing being prohibited, meals being cancelled halfway through, and a menu determined by algorithm, amongst other jokes.
