NBC has pulled the social distancing comedy series “Connecting” from its schedule. The final four episodes will be burned off via streaming service Peacock and NBC.com.
The ensemble comedy follows a group of friends trying to stay close (and sane) through video chats as they live through the coronavirus pandemic. Otmara Marrero, Preacher Lawson, Shakina Nayfack, Parvesh Cheena, Ely Henry, Jill Knox and Keith Powell starred.
Ordered to series in June and debuting on NBC in early October, the series failed to find a substantial audience – averaging a 0.4 rating and 2.1 million viewers per episode in Live+7 ratings.
Episodes of “Superstore” will air in its place on Thursdays through November 19th.
