NBC has cancelled its Jonathan Tucker-led sci-fi drama “Debris” after one season. Legendary Television and Universal TV backed the project which hailed from “Fringe” alum J.H. Wyman.
Shot during the pandemic, the series failed with viewers – averaging a 0.7 rating and less than five million total viewers in Live + 7 numbers.
Three shows remain on the bubble at NBC – “Manifest,” “Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist” and “Good Girls”. The axing of “Debris” is reportedly a good sign for “Manifest” which is NBC’s highest-rated bubble show by a wide margin and is currently in the midst of its third season
As for the other two, Zoey’s could shift to Peacock and “Good Girls” to Netflix but a decision hasn’t been made either way as yet.
