“Nash Bridges” Returns As A Telemovie

Nash Bridges Returns As A Telemovie

Nearly twenty years after it closed out its six season run, USA Network and Village Roadshow are teaming with actor Don Johnson for a telemovie revival of the CBS series “Nash Bridges”.

Johnson will reprise his role of the titular character running the San Francisco’s Special Investigation Unit, and the project is expected to serve as a back-door pilot of sorts for a broader drama series.

The revival will pick up with Nash confronting a changing city, a new boss and a world in which police work focuses on modern data-crunching and predictive policing. Although the world around him has changed, Nash hasn’t.

Bill Chais (“Bull,” “The Practice”) and Johnson will co-create the special. Both will executive produce with Marc Rosen (“Sense8”). Johnson is currently the only castmember attached, while creator Carlton Cuse is not attached to the revival.
