In news worth dancing to, Oscar-nominated Telugu-language song “Naatu Naatu” from the film “RRR” will be performed at the 2023 Oscars.

The title’s singers Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava will perform the energetic and joyous number which has music by M.M. Keeravaani and lyrics by Chandra Bose.

The song forms one of the most memorable scenes from the original film as actors Ram Charan and Jr NTR dance to the catchy tune. The song beat out the likes of Rihanna, Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga to win best original song at this year’s Golden Globes.

The show’s producers confirmed the inclusion of the song today along with Rihanna singing “Lift Me Up” from “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” Sofia Carson singing the Diane Warren-penned “Applause” from “Tell It Like a Woman,” and the trio of David Byrne, Stephanie Hsu and Son Lux performing “This Is a Life” from “Everything Everywhere All at Once”. Lady Gaga’s “Hold My Hand” from “Top Gun: Maverick” is also nominated.

“Everything Everywhere All at Once” leads the pack at the Oscars this year with eleven nominations followed by “All Quiet on the Western Front” and “The Banshees of Inisherin” with nine each.

The 95th Academy Awards will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel and will air live on ABC at 8pm US-ET from the Dolby Theatre on March 12th. Glenn Weiss and Ricky Kirshner are showrunners.
