“My Adventures With Superman” S3 Airs This Year

Adult Swim

“The Boys” star Jack Quaid has confirmed that a third season of the Adult Swim animated series “My Adventures with Superman,” in which he plays Clark Kent/Superman, is on track to release this year.

The story follows Clark Kent, as he builds his secret identity as Superman and explores his mysterious origins, and Lois Lane, whom Clark develops a crush on and is on her way to becoming a star reporter. Alice Lee and Ishmel Sahid co-star as Lois and Jimmy Olsen respectively.

The series premiered in July 2023 with a second season following in September 2024. A third season was announced months before the second season’s release, with the new run hitting post-production in August last year.

Since then, however, there had been no updates until this week. Speaking with Collider while out promoting the final season of “The Boys,” Quaid says as far as he knows, the third season will hit screens this year:

“First of all, I can tease that it is coming out. I know fans have been really patiently waiting, but it is coming out. I’ve been recording ADR recently. It’s happening. I’ve seen it. I’m still recording. It’s still coming out.

What I can tease about it is I think it’s maybe my favourite season of the show. We do some episodes that are kind of standalone, their own thing, and that are really, really exciting.

I don’t want to spoil it too much, but it’s also maybe the funniest season we have. It’s always been a funny, lighthearted show, but some of the writing is truly, truly wonderful.

The Boys is the gritty, dark underbelly of it all, and then Superman, he’s all about saving cats and trees and being a dork, and I love him.

So, yes, I don’t know the exact date, but I think fans have something to look forward to soon. I don’t know exactly when, but it is coming out, and that’s amazing. The fans have been so patient and so cool, and I have to thank all the fans.”

Quaid also praised DC Studios chiefs James Gunn and Peter Safran who have let them keep going with the show: “I’m assuming they like it, which is great. Because they could have totally been like, ‘Well, this doesn’t fit in with our new purview,’ and scrapped it, but they’re keeping it around, and it’s amazing.”
