Adult Swim’s animated series “My Adventures With Superman” launched on July 6th and has scored rave reviews with an 82/100 on Metacritic.
The show offers a light, classic take on the property and is a serialized coming-of-age story catching up with twenty-somethings Clark Kent, the bright and driven Lois Lane, and their best friend Jimmy Olsen as they begin to discover who they are and everything they can accomplish together as an investigative reporting team at the Daily Planet.
They share adventures, take down bad guys, stumble over secrets, and discover what it means to be heroes in their own right. Jack Quaid voices Clark Kent/Superman opposite Alice Lee as Lois Lane and Ishmel Sahid as Jimmy Olsen.
Now, series creator Jake Wyatt has confirmed on Twitter that a second season is on the way with Adult Swim having ordered two seasons with its initial order.
The cast includes Darrell Brown as Perry White, Reid Scott as Jonathan Kent, Kari Wahlgren as Martha Kent, Jason Marnocha as Jor-El, Vincent Tong as Steve Lombard, Melanie Minichino as Cat Grant, Jeannie Tirado as Lana Lang and Kiana Madeira as Supergirl.
Villains include Zehra Fazal as Livewire, David Errigo Jr. as Mister Mxyzptlk, Michael Yurchak as Winslow Schott, Michael Emerson as Brainiac, Jake Green as Parasite, Laila Berzins as Heat Wave, Catherine Taber as Silver Banshee, and Chris Parnell as Deathstroke.
