Ahead of its debut next month at Cannes, South Korean filmmaker Park Chan-wook’s newest film “Decision to Leave” has been picked up for theatrical release in the U.S. and U.K. by indie film streaming service MUBI.
The film will score a cinema release ahead of its streaming release exclusively on MUBI. When that will be is unclear – the movie opens in South Korea in June so likely sometime in the Fall.
The “Oldboy” and “The Handmaiden” director’s mystery film follows a detective who starts to delve into a supernatural world when he falls for the prime suspect in his latest murder investigation. Tang Wei, Park Hae-il, Lee Jung-hyun, Go Kyung-pyo, and Park Yong-woo star.
