Oscar-winning filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy has announced that Marvel Studios’ upcoming “Ms. Marvel” TV series is set to be released exclusively in cinemas only in Pakistan where Disney+ hasn’t launched yet.
Disney and Marvel will be especially creating a cinema format version of the six-episode series for local licensee HKC Entertainment. They will release the series on screens with the first two episodes on June 16th, the next two on June 30th and the last two on July 14th.
Chinoy directs episodes of the series which features Marvel’s first-ever Pakistani Muslim superhero, Kamala Khan played by Iman Vellani. The series also features a diverse cast both in front of and behind the camera.
