As part of its investor earnings call yesterday, Disney’s CFO Christine McCarthy has confirmed that the anticipated “Ms. Marvel” series will be launching a bit later than expected.
Whilst Marvel fans had been hoping the series would be out this year or very early next year, it’s now confirmed the show will be launching in the July-September 2022 window – the third quarter of the calendar year and the fourth quarter of Disney’s fiscal year.
Iman Vellani stars in “Ms. Marvel” as Kamala Khan in what will be the live-action debut of the fan-favorite Marvel character in a show headed up by Bisha K. Ali. Her character also stars in “The Marvels” movie which will open February 2023.
McCarthy also confirms that the “Star Wars” prequel series “Andor,” starring Diego Luna reprising his Cassian Andor role from “Rogue One,” is slated to be released during the same quarter.
