MoviePass may be dead, but the ghost of the movie ticket subscription service is haunting bank balances of its former users.
The New York Post reports that a variety of mysterious charges on credit cards of former members are allegedly coming from the company which shut down on September 14th and said it would stop charging customers back in July when it announced a pause in service as it worked on its app.
Multiple customers both in the article and subsequently responding on Twitter allege they’d received random charges since the service shut down.
3One customer ended up filing a fraud claim with her bank to get her money back and is now a member of AMC’s unlimited Stubs program.
Parent company Helios and Matheson declined to comment to The Post.
