After ending in liquidation two years ago, subscription moviegoing service MoviePass has set its return date – Labor Day.
MoviePass will first re-open online on Thursday, August 25th, with a waitlist posted on its website at 9am US-ET, where cinemagoers wishing to join the beta version can sign up.
The waitlist will be open for five days, and it will be free to sign-up on a first come, first served basis. The first batch of successful applicants will be notified on Labor Day when they will be offered three subscription price tiers.
Said tiers will range between $10, $20, or $30 a month, and each subscription option will give the user credits to cash in each month to see movies.
There will not be an unlimited viewing option during the service’s beta version.
