Moses Ingram will join fellow “Star Wars” alum Natalie Portman in the limited series “Lady in the Lake” for the Apple TV+ service. She steps into a role originally set aside for “Black Panther” actress Lupita Nyong’o who exited in May.

Ingram broke out in Netflix’s “The Queen’s Gambit” before landing small but key roles in “The Tragedy of Macbeth” and “Ambulance”. She’s on screens now in the major role of Reva/Third Sister in the Disney+ “Obi-Wan Kenobi” series which had its finale this week.

The story is an adaptation of Laura Lippman’s novel and is set in 1960s Baltimore where an unsolved murder pushes housewife Maddie Schwartz (Portman) to reinvent her life as an investigative journalist.

She is soon on a collision course with Cleo Sherwood (Ingram), a hard-working woman juggling motherhood, multiple jobs and a passionate commitment to advancing Baltimore’s Black progressive agenda.

Y’Lan Noel, Mikey Madison and Brett Gelman also star. Portman, who makes her TV series debut here, serves as an executive producer.

Alma Har’el created the series and is also a director and executive producer alongside Christopher Legget and Sophie Mas.
