Catalina Sandino Moreno (“Maria Full of Grace,” “Barbarians”) has joined the “John Wick” spin-off “Ballerina” which is currently in production for Lionsgate.
Ana de Armas stars as a young woman with killer skills who uses them to get revenge when her family is killed by hitmen.
She joins a cast that also includes various returnees from the “John Wick” films, including Keanu Reeves himself, along with Ian McShane, Lance Reddick and Anjelica Huston.
Len Wiseman is helming from a script by Shay Hatten. Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee and Chad Stahelski produce.
Moreno will next be seen as the female lead in John Woo’s “Silent Night” and currently stars in Epix’s horror series “From” which is shooting its second season.
