More Titles Being Pulled From Disney+

Hulu, Disney+

Following yesterday’s reveal of nearly thirty titles being removed from both Disney+ and Hulu services, the list has now been updated to include as much again today – bringing the total to 58 series and films being removed from those streaming services.

Deadline has offered the updated list with the biggest new titles to be removed including several films released recently like Kenneth Branagh’s $125 million budget “Artemis Fowl” film adaptation.

Other films going are the Joey King-led action film “The Princess,” musical comedy “Better Nate Than Ever,” Hulu’s comedy “Rosaline,” supernatual teen comedy “Darby and the Dead,” the teen romance tale “Stargirl,” and the remake of “Cheaper by the Dozen”.

Also out are some high-profile original Disney+ and Hulu series, including “The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers,” the “Turner and Hooch” remake, the two-season “The Hot Zone,” and “Diary of a Future President”.

Joining yesterday’s list and the above inclusions are: “A Spark Story,” “America the Beautiful,” “Among the Stars,” “Better Nate Than Ever,” “Black Beauty,” “Clouds,” “Encore!,” “Harmonious Live!,” “Just Beyond,” “Marvel’s MPower,” “Marvel’s Project Hero ,” “Marvel’s Voices Rising: The Music of Wakanda Forever,” “More Than Robots,” “Own the Room,” “Pentatonix: Around the World for the Holidays,” “Pick the Litter,” “Rogue Trip,” “Shop Class,” “The Big Fib,” “The Real Right Stuff,” and “Weird but True!”.

The titles will be pulled from Disney+ streaming services globally on Friday May 26th. Disney marks the latest media company to purge content from its streaming platforms in a cost-cutting measure as the industry is rethinks costs and strategy with a bigger focus on profitability.

One key change is “Howard,” the documentary about famous “Little Mermaid” lyricist Howard Ashman, will not be removed after it was on the original list of titles yesterday set to be taken down. A rep for the service says the list is still being re-evaluated and there could be additional changes.
