Rupert Friend and Stuart Martin have joined the growing cast of Zack Snyder’s epic sci-fi fantasy feature “Rebel Moon” at Netflix.
The story tells of a peaceful colony on the galaxy’s edge threatened by a tyrannical regent (Friend). The desperate colonists dispatch a young woman (Sofia Boutella) with a mysterious past to seek out warriors from neighbouring planets to help them make a stand.
Martin is also said to be playing a villainous character. The pair join a supporting cast that includes Charlie Hunnam, Djimon Hounsou, Doona Bae and Ray Fisher.
Filming is scheduled to begin in April and last until November. Snyder co-wrote the script with Shay Hatten and Kurt Johnstad.
